Summer 2015

We sure had a fun summer! And my babies sure did grow!

Case and I went to Girls Camp with my young women at the beginning of June. It was so beautiful up in Stanley and we loved spending time with all the girls!!!

The kids loved playing in the water any chance they got! All three love water.
 Cutest baby ever

Dre and Case love to play in the back yard, Case thinks Dre is so funny!
Dre's 4th birthday was tractor themed......He said it was his best birthday ever!
We went camping at the end of June at Nat Soo Pah (a Bennett family tradition)
Dre swam and swam and swam!
He even went off the high dive this year!
Eric was kind enough to sleep on the Trampoline with the kids one night....yep just one night, we are too old for sleeping on the trampoline!
 4th of July
We stopped by to see miss Sadie on our way to Salt Lake
We spent the week in Salt Lake City, we visited Temple square multiple times

We spent 2 days at Lagoon, ha Tay and I on a ride
We went to a childrens museum. The kids loved it, Case loved "fixing" this puppy up, he loves animals!
Case's job this summer was to water my plants.......he mostly watered himself
We went to Hinckley, UT for the 24th of July and stayed at Eric's grandma's house. Tay has been wanting to go for years, I'm so glad we made it this year!
Dre was such a good brother to pull Case around!
We headed to Island Park in August for our niece's wedding. We spent a few days there. We floated the river, the boys went on razor rides and just had fun playing with cousins!

Of course, my favorite week of the summer is Fair week! We spent everyday that week at the fair! the kids loved the rodeo and the Carnival

Well back to school we go. Tay's personality is so fun, she is so into fashion and loves to take pictures of herself! She sure is growing into a beautiful girl!

Eric with the kids on his 35th birthday.
Dre started preschool this year (sniff sniff) He has so much fun. He is a perfectionist when he does his "homework" and has to trace the lines perfectly or he is not very happy. He is just so darn competitive!
He loves to ride his 4 wheeler, We took a little ride down to grandma and grandpas the other day, he was over the moon excited to ride down there by himself!
Miss Sadie came to visit for the week and we loved having her so close and went over to grandmas every day to snuggle and play with her!

I am always sad when summer ends, I love the warm weather and playing with my kids all day. They are getting so busy the bigger they get and it seems like we don't have enough time in the day. But they sure are fun and keep me laughing all day long! I sure do love being their mom!!

Miss Tayli

My little Tayli is not so little anymore. I can't believe she is in 1st grade this year. It has been such a big change. I feel like Dre and I sit around waiting for her to get home. She has grown so much this last year. She is the greatest big sister and her life revolves around her brothers. She plays with Dre so well and she loves to hold and take care of Case. She is a great helper and I really miss having her home to help me with him. She loves school and is learning quickly. She is also doing gymnastics this year and really enjoys it. She loved being able to walk to nanny and poppi's this summer and went over there almost daily. She learned to ride her bike without training wheels and pretty much can swim without a life jacket. She has changed so much and is starting to act like a big girl. She has lost 7 teeth, she has started just pulling them out by herself. She wants to be more independent and told me yesterday that I don't have to wait outside for her when the bus drops her off she can do it by herself. Ok I guess she's big now!

Dre update

This kid....what do I say. He is out of control and hilarious. So smart and such a little stinker. Dre has defiantly hit the terrible 3's, he has to do everything his way or he will throw the biggest fit. At the same time he is so funny, always saying such clever things. He loves to help and work. Lately he has been helping me do laundry. He will put the clothes in the washer then to the dryer and push all the buttons. He loves to work with Eric whether its in the yard, tractor or in the field. He is so cute with Case and always talks to him in a baby voice. He has to be right in the middle of whatever we are doing. He loves to ride bikes with Tayli and they will play for hours together. He sure does miss her while she is at school. He is so into tractors right now and looks for them when ever we are in the car. He has been listening to Tayli while she does her homework and he now thinks he can read by himself. He started gymnastics this year and loves it. He can be so sweet and loving and is such a good helper, he helped me clean the grout in the kitchen the other day! He is certainly our entertainer and every where we go he finds a new friend!

Case Overload

Our first look at Mr. Case

the last picture I took before I had him

First photo!

It's been so long since I have updated my blog, I don't know why I haven't had time....it might have something to do with this little cutie!
I figured I should write down how this little one came along before it's a complete blur! Case David arrived a week early on April 24th. I woke up at 3:30 in the morning to my water breaking. Eric thought I just peed my pants but after I made him check he agreed it was not pee! We woke up mom, I grabbed my hospital bags and away we went. The nurse informed us it would be a long day. The birthing center was completely full, and we could hear babies being born all around us. I was at 3 cm most of the day. They gave me the epidural around 1 in the afternoon, it was heavenly. Around 8 the nurse came in to check me and she let us know I was at an 8. That kind of freaked me out since everything had been so calm all day. I went quickly from there. I started to feel the contractions in my left hip so they came in to give me more medicine. The monitor that is supposed to let you know when you are having a contraction wasn't working so I had to really pay attention to the slight difference in pain I was feeling to know when to push. I did not know at the time but my doctor didn't think I would be able to deliver on my own and was thinking I would have to have a C-section, which explains why he would tell me to push and then he would just sit there with his arms folded ever so casually. Well I proved him wrong, I pushed for 31 minutes and our sweet little boy came out like a superhero with one arm straight out! He was born at 10:08 weighing 6 lbs 8 oz and 20 inches long. It was a long day but very smooth. I am so grateful it went so well. We stayed 2 days which I appreciated, Eric did not! I was glad to have help especially with breastfeeding. I struggled so much with it for about the 1st month. But I kept with it and I am so glad I did.
I can't believe that was almost 5 months ago. Case has grown so quickly and we have enjoyed every minute. He is a great baby. Very mild and calm and has the sweetest smile! He loves attention and wants to be held all the time. He only takes short naps maybe 30 minutes max if I lay him down. But he is always pretty happy so I don't mind that I don't get anything done. I can do housework later, he won't be small for long. His laugh is the cutest thing. He loves itsy bitsy spider and pat a cake. He thinks Tay and Dre are so funny. He is eating cereal and baby food and really wants to eat everything we eat. He can almost sit up by himself and can roll from his belly to his back, which he has been able to do since he was 1 month old. We are all so in love with him, he so sweet and cute I can hardly stand to put him down! I'm not ready for him to get bigger and want to be more independent, but I know it has to happen.
